Is it a chair... or a trellis? Is it a table... or a birdbath? These simple yet multifunctional pieces from Swedish designer Eva Schildt are lightweight enough for even the smallest of gardens.

Made of lacquered grey or green steel, the Gardener's Sofa and Table do double duty as garden furniture and garden accessory. Each piece stands up on points that can be staked into the soil like a standard trellis.

Imagine sitting on your "sofa" with clematis climbing up around you... or having tea while finches flick water right in front of you. It gives new meaning to being one with the outdoors!

oh, i thought it was a bench and bike rack combo. Still pretty though, I guess the bike rack would have a limited market for home use.
I love the look, but in most garden soils, I think those legs would sink...and sink....and sink. You'd be uneven and sitting lower all the time.
There is no way I would feel safe sitting on this. Plus, it doesn't look at all comfortable!
I'd put those in my garden, if I could afford them.
Gorgeous, but I'm curious as to how comfortable this is.
I think they're super pretty, but I'm not sure how they're a small garden solution. Also, they won't sink indefinitely--see those cross pieces on the legs? They'll prevent that (though there's an anomaly in the photoshopping of the silver one).
Flip it over and you could organize very large file folders.
