When it comes to old electronics, the usual options are: donate it (great idea but we paid a lot of money for this); recycle it (it's only a few years old, and we'd like to get some money for it); or Craigslist it (but there's no guarantee of a sale). So, the item sits in the closet for a few months (or years) until we do a big closet cleanup and drive across town to the electronics recycling center. There must be a better way...
There is! There's Gazelle. Part donation center, part charity, part Craigslist, it's a place to get rid of your old electronics and get some cash for them. And, if, for some reason, your piece is too old to sell, Gazelle will take care of recycling it responsibly. For a short video on how it works, click here.
Hmmm, maybe we will be able to afford that iPhone upgrade after all.
