Gearing Up For CES 2013

Next week some of the team will be making an annual pilgrimage to Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), tech's biggest stage for showcasing new products in just about all categories - from the latest in flatscreen displays, to cameras, to yet to be released mobile accessories, and an increasing amount of home automation.

There's usually always something intriguing and unexpected that we'll come across, especially from smaller up and comers. Let us know what tech you're looking forward to hearing more about and we'll keep an eye out for you!

The CES is huge! There is 1.7 million square feet of exhibit space — which means you can walk around for days and not see everything. Exhibitors (over 3,000 of them) use the CES to unveil and demo the latest in technology. Some big things have been unveiled over the years from the VCR in 1970 to DVD's in 1999. CES is also where HDTV made its big splash in 1998 and where Plasma, OLED, and 3D technologies after it where showcased for the first time. I can't wait to see what new innovations are in store this year. In the meantime take a look back at our past CES coverage.

We'll be tweeting and Instagramming products and technologies that grab our attention on the show floor (both good and bad).
