Although our home is small, it feels spacious. Lots of light, white walls and plants and flowers make our home feel natural and bright. Plus, this is the first home I shared with my boyfriend (now fiancé!) and we have chosen everything together and developed our own style - lots to love!
Three of My Best Tips and Tricks for Creating a Successful Small Space::
1. Multipurpose space Our hallway has pictures of loved ones, a hidden dartboard, space for coats, a bookshelf and my make-up table: making it multi-functional has made it work!
2. Measure everything! When we moved in, I made sure all of the new furniture we bought fit each nook perfectly, to get the maximum storage and cleanest lines out of every space.
3. Bring the outdoors in I've been pretty obsessed with plants, and making sure our space has lots of living things. Bringing some of the outdoors in means that our house feels more open, organic, and spacious. Maybe it's a trick of the mind, but somehow it feels like if there is space for plants, there's space for life.
