The human-interest site Quazen has rounded up different example of geodesic domes from around the world — full globes, half domes and Buckminster Fuller originals. We've pulled our favorites from their list and threw in some domes that we've previously featured on Apartment Therapy...
• 1 Montreal's Biosphere designed by Buckminster Fuller for the 1967 World's Fair.
• 2 Telusphere — Vancouver's Science World.
• 3 Spaceship Earth at Epcot Center in Walt Disney World, Orlando. (RIP Captain E-O)
• 4 The Matr Mandir globe is at the center of the Utopian experiment Auroville in India.
• 5 Eden Project domes in Cornwall, England.
Have you visited any of these geodesic domes and globes?

Anyone else sort of creeped out by these things?
Ahhh, I love Science World! The dome is the best part because it houses the IMAX!
I've been to the Biosphere quite a couple times, and there isn't much to do there. They turned it into an Environment Museum, which is pretty boring all year long, but once in a while they'll do something great.
I wish they had turned it into a Design Museum, that would've been awesome.
The Missouri Botanical Garden's Climatron should be on your list.
How else would you put a tropical rain forest in St Louis?

Thank you for calling it Science World instead of "Telusphere", jellygrlfrnd.
Ontario Place in Toronto on the lake.
What about the Desert Dome at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha?
(yes, Nebraska)

To paraphrase Magdelane - How else would you put a desert in Nebraska?

Ah yes, Spaceship Earth. Went there in May.
I second the Biosphere being pretty boring.
But it's still a cool site.
And Spaceship Earth is amazing!
There is one near Cleveland Ohio in Russell Township. It's owned by ASM or American Society for Metals. It's slightly off the beaten path and I think quite beautiful.
