Aquariums are fun activities for kids on vacation — and now one hotel takes it to the extreme. The Radisson Blu Hotel in Berlin has a 1 million-litre aquarium tank that features a glass elevator inside, offering rides with 360-degree views of the 1,500 tropical fish. The tank is maintained by nearby Sea Life Berlin.

This is how the elevator should work. Just get into a bubble and float to the top. tm
I've stayed here and taken the elevator, it is so incredibly beautiful. Unfortunately you still have to pay 10 Euro to ride even if you're a guest, but the elevator moves slowly and I took a million photos of amazing saltwater fish. They have a diver clean the tank every morning and it is fascinating to watch. The rooms are nice too, I recommend the stay there to anyone traveling in Berlin.
It's got the best breakfast buffet I've ever had, and the location in proximity to the cathedral and the old Humboldt university is wonderful. But the hotel itself is big and very impersonal, the elevator costs extra and you have to stand in line for that. For nearly the same money and an incredible neighborhood (the Brandenburg gate, American and British embassy, the Reichstag (Congress) and the beautiful street Unter den Linden) stay at the Adlon Kempinsky. That's a stay where you're honored as a guest and have an incredible surrounding inside and outside the hotel!
