When setting up childrens' spaces, many of us will head over to baby specialty stores for furniture and accessories. Now this makes sense for cribs, strollers and baby bottles, but not necessarily for storage items. When it comes to storage, it pays to get creative.
We love this terrific set up over at IKEA Family. Three coffee tables laid end to end provides a large surface for play at the perfect height. Wooden crates on wheels fit perfectly underneath and don't take up any additional floor space. A coat or two of chalkboard paint lets you label each crates' contents.

But what exactly did they use to display the drawings ?
tchouquet -
looks like it could be either the DEKA or DIGNITET from Ikea.
which coffee table is that?
@tchouquet: those look like cable tension curtain rods - also available at IKEA (as well as other sources)
It looks like the Lack coffee table. It used to come without the shelf that I see on the website now. (I had one 10 years ago.) Of course, you could just assemble it without.
Thanks ! It looks like the DIGNITET indeed !
this is a great looking and practical storage idea
I was just looking at this room on Flickr last night! I love it. I am trying to create a polished playroom/craft room/family room and looking for inspiration. I love this toy storage and the artwork display.
