What's your very favorite food? French fries (mine!)? Pizza or hamburgers? Do you love coffee more than any solid sustenance? No doubt you have a few places in your town that you love and go to over and over again. But what if there's an even better version of your favorite food hiding out in a place you've yet visited? Here's how to take an organized attack on your town to find the best of your favorite munchies and have some fun doing it!
First make a list of five new places to try your favorite food
- Take a survey on Facebook for your friends' best spots to grab your favorite grub.
- Look to Yelp or other rating websites to find some ideas.
- Try and find a mix of locations that are spread around wherever you live.
- Make sure to Google to see if any chefs, food magazines or local publications have some ready-made lists of your favorite food to follow.
Go with a friend (or more!)
The more people you've got trying food out, the less food you'll have to consume at each location — the less stuffed you'll feel at the end of the day.
Draw up some fun ratings cards
Make this a fun (not really all that) scientific experiment! Create ratings card based on what you love about your favorite food (like if you're going to find the best french fry in the city, you might rate fries based on outer crispiness to inner mushy, seasoning, size, etc.). This isn't a requirement, but it is kind of like a favorite food bingo game that will add fun to the excursion.
Try this again — only with a different favorite food!
After doing this just once, you'll find that you've seen different parts of the city, tasted new flavors and maybe even found a new favorite place to try your favorite food. But don't stop there! Try this again and again with all your favorite foods for fun all summer long!
