When was your city founded? What settlers first called this land home? When were the oldest buildings in your town built? There's a grounding effect that knowing about history can bring to your life, none so powerful as getting in touch with the history of the land, people, and city that you currently call home.

No matter how small your town or city, there's bound to be some history to it. Explore it today!

Find a library that might have old photos of your city's founding. Go visit a historic site or marker. Is there a business that's been open for ages? Go ask the owners if they can share some of the city's history. If you have any older family members where you live, ask them out to lunch to delve deep into how they remember your city from years ago.

Putting a historic frame around where you live will make you appreciate it more. Every place has a story to tell. Go find it out today!
