We hope you're not actually laboring on Labor Day, but if you are an important area of your home to spruce up this time of year is your child's workspace. Get their school year off to an organized start with an inviting, functional space to hunker down for studying, writing or doing artwork.

Every child needs a spot, in their bedroom or elsewhere in the house, where they can work - whether that work is assigned schoolwork or penning the next great American novel. A workspace can be as sparse and uncluttered as a plain desk and chair or it can be filled with tools and implements close at hand.
