This DIY Desk Shelf Features A Wheat Grass Planter

Want to increase your concentration and your health? Get a plant. It's proven that just one potted plant per 100 square feet of office space will dramatically improve the quality of the air around you. And if you're pressed for space, try a creative planter like this one we spotted on Flickr.

Killing two birds with one stone is amateur. Killing three? Now that's efficiency!

Flickr member Nicholas Todd figured out a way to simultaneously increase his desk space, raise his laptop and monitor screens up to eye level and give himself a spot to grow wheat grass.

He created the shelf himself, adding a tray inset to give a spot for the grass to thrive. The results are an office with a bit of natural color and plenty of clean air. If you want the same results in your office, consider adding one of these eleven easy plants to your workspace.
