ew...put it in a den with some wooden mallard ducks and call it a day!
And don't forget to add tons of dark wood paneling....
No! Reminds me of the outdated kitchen in the house we moved into in the 80's.
No. Just ... no.
Pleeeeeeease don't use plaid wallpaper. All it does is make your room smaller and busier and uglier. My house came with a plaid bathroom when we moved in. We just two months ago ripped down the black-and-white plaid paper and painted it light blue. It looks eight times larger than it did before -- and you don't get a headache when you're in there anymore. Plaid wallpaper is evil.
I'm not certain that I'd use plaid wallpaper...
...but I'd love to see wool plaid draperies.
I like the sweater.
i love plaid.
My husband spent 2 days picking that exact same brown plaid wallpaper off our master bedroom walls when we moved into our house. It was at least 40 years old and was hideous. The suggestion that this is the trendy thing to do now gives me nightmares.
I love the sweater, too... and the bullet bra. Where can I get that? ;)
what about two different plaids in the same room?
or funkier plaids?
i love a red and yellow plaid, or a teal and purple plaid.
(yes, i am tacky;
i want a mobile home done sparsley, but in several different plaids, but a pucci themed mobile home would win out).
maybe i feel favorable toward plaid after reading about a teacher who said that to him (they'd asked random people), the height of style he'd witnessed in his life was his male students in Africa, they'd sport plaid suits, mixed different plaids, jackets and pants, and sometimes they'd trade, swap out different pieces...so great and unexpected!

a couple years ago there was a photo in the New Yorker of an immigrant mother in America (from Somali, i think), striding along in a billowing head to toe red and yellow caftan, stunning and regal.
funky largely seems out of favor though.
i like how plaid can be both a bit wacky but is also square, manly, kind of comforting, but stimulating.
Blech. This is one of my least favorite parts of the decor on the show, along with that fussy ruffled lampshade in their living room. I noticed that another character's house had one, too.
I wouldn't do the wallpaper, but if I could look that good in riding pants and red lipstick I would be a happy girl.
I am shamelessly addicted to Mad Men--mostly for the design inspiration!!!
Every time I see the Drapers' home on Mad Men I cringe and think that it's supposed to be an example of what went wrong with mid century decor. Realistic, but not pretty! I want to barf every time I see that ugly headboard! It's no wonder Don spends so much time at the office!
I love plaid too. Not sure about on the wall, but love to wear plaid.
Such a great show, such ugly wallpaper.
@robbiep...i love that headboard!
As much as I love everything about Mad Men, I don't think plaid wallpaper is for me. When you say "get the look at home" with this picture, I'd much rather get Betty's look than the wall's. I mean, how could Don possibly cheat on her? She's such a fox!
Great classic wallpaper to have in your house. see more great kid room wallpaper for your kids to enjoy.
