Lately I can't get enough of the rich, dark drama of black and gold. In yesterday's roundup of black and gold interiors, spaces with black walls and gold accents figured prominently — but what if you're just wanting to dip a toe into the black and gold pool, without painting a whole wall?
Pictured above:
- Wire accent table, $69.99 from Target.
- "No Regrets" poster, approximately $48 from Rockett St. George.
- Work Lamp in Gold, $120 from YLiving.
- Small paper mache bowl in black and gold, $15.00 from Etco.
- Brass light by Ensemblen, as seen at the Stockholm furniture fair.
- Black and gold chevron pillow from Ralph Lauren home, via Departures.
- DWR's Almoco flatware comes in black and gold. How about a little of both? $50/place setting.
- Bottle openers. If you entertain a lot, you can never have too many of these. Horn bottle opener, $22 from Jayson Home.

Sprout Side Table
Love the gold (and the black) flatware! There was a gold colored set at Target for the longest time, and I always figured I could pick it up "someday", and then it got discontinued!
this reminds me of EVERY family members' home, growing up in the 90's...ick
I always thought that Kelly Wearstler gave great advice on that design show she judged and that she always advocated for kicking off the right person. But I have just hated hated every single influence she has had on interior design and decorating through her own work. Including the look proposed in this article. How can she be such a conundrum?!
Am in love with the brass floor light...and the flatware...this whole scheme! Great post.
I love this example:
