Shaw's Original Fir...
This was my favorite color when I was in my "tweens" (which was well before they started calling them that) - of all the things that are recycling from that period, this is definitely one of the better ones.
I call this shade salmon ;-) and Rothko's print colour combo with the blue edges was exactly the colour scheme in my daughter's nursery three years ago. We moved four times since though..love this colour.
Twenty years ago I had shell-peach walls and celadon, rosewood, deep teal and garnet furnishings and accents. It all worked. But peach was ruined for me by the pseudo-Southwest thing, and bad 1990s hotel room furnishings.
In art/design school I was scolded by professors whenever I used peach as a color. It was labeled "fleshy" and even when painting the human form, you do not use peach. Unless you are painting a Barbie paint-by-number.
Since then, whenever I see the color, my flesh (peach colored) crawls.
Love pale peach with lots of white, pale grey, or celadon. Maybe just a bit of turquoise. and coral. Metallic gold. yum!
My favorite. *happy sigh*
