Growing up, a bachelor uncle always sent a check before the holidays for my mother to use to buy our family gifts, usually toys or something she knew we wanted. One year she decided to use the money to buy the whole family nice flannel sheets. I'm pretty sure my sisters and I let out a collective, "Are you kidding me?" This did not seem like a fun gift. But, boy, did we sleep well that winter.
There are plenty of flannel sheet options in solid colors, but nice patterns are harder to find. And kid-friendly ones, even harder. Above are some to get you started.

Sprout Side Table
I can vouch for the ones from Garnet Hill -- they are awesome, hold up really well and are soft soft soft!
Julia beat me to it...I love love love Garnet Hill's flannel.
Those are all great options. I learned the hard way that buying flannel sheets that are one-direction was a mistake. I got some sock monkey sheets and I love them, but one side (the top) is worn out more than the bottom. Now they're upside down monkeys!
I haven't been able to find any flannel sheets in crib/toddler bed size. I guess I'll make my own--it's not that hard, but I'm surprised that I can't just find any to buy.
Ok, strike that--I see that Garnet Hill has a crib option. That's one, at least! But seriously, why aren't the major manufacturers on this? Babies and toddlers like to be cozy, too!
Has anyone tried Garnett Hills Jersey sheets?
I'm obsessed with Garnet Hill's jersey sheets! I've been using them for over a decade (on my second set now). We use the jersey duvet cover too and it's so soft that we don't use a top sheet. I've found Garnet Hill's flannel and jersey to be of much higher quality than anything else I've tried.
if my daughter painted her nails on garnet hill sheets, it would be the last mani/pedi she gave herself for a loooooong time. just sayin'.
anyone know where i can get a bed like this?!
Land of Nod - Jenny Lind
I had great crib flannels from Lands' End ages ago. I saved the little flannel quilt when my son grew out of it because it was the softest flannel I've ever felt.
