Getting Creative with Cardboard Boxes

It is no secret that kids dig cardboard boxes, and parents should as well. It is hard to think of any other single item that can inspire creative play quite so easily. One method is to just give your kids a box and let them imagine that it is a rocket ship or race car. Nothing wrong with that at all. But if you get a particularly good box, or just want to surprise your kids, you can always do something a bit more involved.

Sweet Paul Magazine has a wonderful spread on creative playthings you can make from cardboard boxes of all sizes. From a dog pull-toy to a tremendous rocket ship there is something for everyone. The minimalist dollhouse is a particularly nice idea. Be sure to scroll through to the end of the article to find the step-by-step instructions for each project.
