Wearing lace in the bedroom is one thing but decorating with it is another. Lace adds a sexy quality that leaves us wanting more. These aren't your average frumpy lace coverlets.
The easiest and most standard way of incorporating lace into the bedroom is on the bed. Toss it over the foot of the bed or casually drape it over the comforter for a less prim and proper appearance.
Make things a little more modern by adding small touches of color in the room. Another way is to use the lace in an out-of-the box way like Doub did! To add some privacy in her open air warehouse, she hung antique lace in front of the railing that overlooks the living room.

Shaw's Original Fir...
these lace throws are the perfect accessory to layer with - they are light and airy, never overbearing. and add a delicate, feminine touch. so pretty!
Sexy, or granny?
The particular styles and lace designs shown here are definitely granny.
Which, if any, is handwork?
I agree - definitely your average frumpy lace here.
Ew, really?
Lace combines two modern concepts, geometric patterns and texture. Like most traditional and antique pieces, the juxtaposition with industrial and/or modern elements keeps it fresh and eliminates the frump. It definitely reminds me more of femininity and lingerie in these examples!
Some of these are lovely, some are granny... none are sexy.
Guess I am in the minority. Granny lace is hot!
Well, I like the granny lace, but I am not sure 'sexy' is the word I would have used. More romantic, perhaps homespun, and certainly girly.
Definately girly! I love it, my husband might not though..
I think the lace shown here is totally sexy!
I adore most lace. Delicate, diaphonous, feminine. If it's always "granny," then I have to wonder why so many people love the drop-dead bedcovers, curtains and gowns in "Gosford Park" or "Downtown Abbey." The bedcover in the first image is gorgeous.
That said, I dislike anything that looks like it was inspired by doilies (e.g. image #3).
I've always had lace curtains and dresser scarves in the bedroom. To me it's romantic, not grandma. And lacey curtains let light in while still giving privacy.
Lace is always sexy.
Lace is gorgeous and romantic. I especially love lace curtains.
"It feels strange to do any sexual acts on a grandma's bed....thanks but no thanks...." that is soooo frickin funny! love it!
