Ewwww.... Maybe it's worse because I'm vegetarian, but that meat hand is absolutely repulsive. I mean, I guess that's the idea, so... it worked. :shudder

Wow. I am one of those wierd people who really gets into Halloween. I have an annual party and we try to go all out. And even I think that hand is disgusting...my stomauch turned just looking at the picture.

The melon brain, on the other hand, is awesome. Our neighbor made that for our party last year and it was a big hit. As was the buffet made up of Dracula's collection of gross things: scabs (corn flakes), goblin toes (mini hot dogs), maggots (plain maccaroni noodles), and eye of newt (grapes).

That is so gross it's awesome! Perfect for halloween. The only thing missing is some 'blood' to come out when it's cut into!

All those ideas are great - please keep the halloween stuff coming!

These are great! When I was young my mother was my Girl Scout leader. We always had a great Halloween costume party and she and the other mothers brought fun food like this. As we got older we came up with the gross food. Love it!

I LOVE Halloween and last year, I went all out and made some very labor intensive, but pretty impressive DEADLY cupcakes!

I used Red Velvet cake, tinted buttercream icing to look like flesh tone, used red decorative gel for the blood and made the little knives from chocolate melts!

My two hands are in the oven as I write this. Wow, so cool! Only minor improvements...leek instead of onion for wrist bone, parchment paper beneath with slits to drain juices on a rack suspended over a cookie sheet (with sides, of course). All else I did the same...wait, I couldn't find a mold so I went even better and shaped it by *hand.* Turned out great. Before baking, anyway! Next up, carving the apple heads. I'll float them in tart cherry juice. This is so much fun!!
