Alongside new bloggers from Southern California, we're trying out new writers from Austin, Asia and Australia all this week. Here's Jenny from Australia with a unique outdoor decoration. Tell us what you think...
Are you that lucky one in a million who have soaring ceilings but can’t quite figure out how to fill the space? Then look no further than your backyard! The Hill’s Hoist Clothesline is an iconic Australian design but we’ve never thought it could be used for anything other than drying clothes. Until we saw the above at our local thrift store...
The chandelier is made from an upside down ">Hill’s Hoist covered in hanging bottles which are filled with coloured water, hundreds of fairy lights and even a string of luminous flamingos. Not only does the chandelier compliment the industrial look of the store but all of the components are recycled from donated goods.

It's not something I would like to have, but I would like it if I already had a Hills Hoist... GO AUSTRALIA! :D
That is just plain awesome! :)
it's very Amelia-Bedelia-chic...
What thrift store is this?
Oh I see, I assume the store is in Australia?
I know that store - thats the Three Legged Chair! I'm so glad somebody else has found it, its not an easy shop to find hidden in the back streets of an industrial estate.
Go Melbourne!!!
Ahh! That is so cool. My grandma has one of these in her backyard. Maybe I could convince her to do it.
