Giant Fabric Rug Keyboard

Giant Fabric Rug Keyboard

What do you get when you combine the elements of a rug, a Dance Dance Revolution mat, and a computer keyboard? You get one helluva workout while you chat online...

We'd imagine typing on the DIY rug keyboard would look similar the famous scene in Big, where Tom Hanks is playing chopsticks, rather than the swift moves of an able DDR dancer. Creator Maurin Donneaud made the oversized keyboard for children (thus the non-Qwerty layout) using several lengths of conductive fabric, a perforated foam core, and an Arduino. Add a Wii controller setup and this input device surely would make working in Excel spreadsheets a less mundane endevour (though we'd have to make sure it was sweat proof).
