Nomade Express Slee...
Tell them to check out Marilyn Monroe on Michigan Ave here in Chicago and see if they really have anything to complain about. Tacky!
That giant woman is funny. She reminds me of some old science fiction movie.
Because it's in staid old Hamburg, it cracks me up, though the thought occurs that she may have escaped the Reeperbahn... (their red light district).
When there was a giant spider climbing the Ferry Building, in San Francisco, I loved it - I also loved the decorated hearts and the giant bow & arrow sculpture along the waterfront. I love the unused building at 6th & Mission where the furniture is literally diving out the windows. Public art, especially _temporary_ public art, keeps a city interesting and vibrant. If you've forgotten to really look at your city lately - temporary public art gets you to take notice again.
Can you imagine her standing, roaring, and stomping as the toy boats flip and the tiny people run, wave their arms, and yell out of synch?
I like the idea, but she sure is homely ... and her knees aren't so good-looking, either.
@deirdre625, that exactly what I was coming her to say! As giant ladies in the public space go, the bathing lady is tame stuff compared to the 24-7 upskirt tourism spectacle we've got going.
Oh, I LOVE this! Remember the ThinkBig store with all the oversized objets? So much fun.
It's funny, but it's also pretty ugly.
It's totally something you'd find in Austin.
