Kids using reclaimed wood to make their own toys. Kids working outdoors. Kids using power tools (safely, natch). Kids having fun. These things alone are enough to make this project we spied at one of our favorite blogs, Filth Wizardry, pretty awesome. As an added bonus, the end result? Also pretty awesome.
When resourceful mom Lindsey found out that her neighbors had dug up some old chunks of wood while landscaping, she spotted an opportunity right away. After hauling the blocks home, she and her daughters gave them a good scrubbing, then a sanding, then a fantastic paint job.
