Gift Fair 2009: Style de Vie

We totally have a thing for vintage ephemera, like maps and old educational wall charts. So we immediately fell in love with Style de Vie's booth at the Gift Fair. (Maxwell also told us to be on the lookout for it!) LA-based Style de Vie travels the world and collects awesome original (not reproductions, which is so much cooler) works of art, images and objects which are then custom matted and framed...

You can also buy the pieces unframed. We were looking at a large French school chart on tuberculosis, and almost bought it on the spot. Most pieces are sold based on the frame size which varies from $30 for smaller 8.5x11 to well over $600 for the larger prints (like the botanical piece seen in the 2nd picture above).
