Some of my favorite gifts growing up were the gifts designed to make, build, and create. I will forever remember the happy hours spent designing and building wooden ornaments (a DIY woodworking project my dad came up with), handcrafting ornate letters with my Hello Kitty stationary set, and sewing pillows with my sewing kits.
