Here's my second gift list of thirty items, culled from a year of finding cool stuff every day for The Daily Find. Yesterday I ran Gifts For Her. Tomorrow look out for Gifts for Children. (The gendering of the lists is very loose and you'll find stuff you like on all three.) Got a great gift idea? Spread the love and add the link down below in the comments. Enjoy!

Shaw's Original Fir...
I liked the look of the only Stending calendar I ever owned, back in the 1990s. I had to take it down, however, after missing work and a meeting one Monday, thinking it was Sunday.
Apparently, the men in our lives only like very, very expensive things!
@houseofjenny - AGREED! And they think us ladies have expensive taste!
I honestly considered the Dyson hand vac for my husband (he's a clean freak who loves his upright Dyson), but +$200 for a dust-buster?! Pass.
I appreciate the point being made that the gendering is loose and tastes will cross over, but do these lists really need to be gendered at all? It seems a bit silly to relate them to male or female when it's really a particular style you're compiling into a list, and making lists by style opens you up to a wider audience and more diverse options.
Nice designs! Only man I'm buying for this year is dear ole dad and not sure these suit his tastes. I really like that Tivoli clock radio :)
i don't expect someone to spend an entire mortgage payment on a present for me. its ridiculous.
I like the designs, but not the price tags! I'm wondering who this post was geared to, because most people I know could not afford most of these gifts for their significant other.
Cool stuff, but the prices are crazy out of line. When did stylish living get to be just another form of conspicuous consumption? Why would minimalism be more expensive a genre that traditional? It is nice to see these things as perhaps inspiration pieces, but truly, if you have that much to spend, you should set up a foundation and do some good in the world. (That said, I may paint my ipod dock red. I'm not a stone,)
That bedding set pictured runs to almost $1,400 for the complete set! The $265 listed is only for one piece.
Will there be a reality-based gift list on here at some point?
I'm a woman and I'd love most of these.
@paladinfilm, I was all over that bedding 'til I saw the price tag. and ONE piece? Eesh.
Love the mug. But at $75? Please.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that bemoaned the price tags. I can't imagine that a $700 ice cream maker would be something my hubby would squeal over on the 25th.
With that being said, this list wasn't even that fresh--very similar to the Daily Candy list.
Some things are pricey, some aren't... not sure what the big deal is as they would all make nice gifts.
preserve toothbrushes are all we use. they are by far the best. and i love that we just plop the old ones in the mail-don't even need to buy a stamp. : )
With everyone on the price tags. Ouch! BUT I have to put in my two cents here: The dyson is total worth it!
I understand the comments on the price tags, but personally I don't buy for many and I like to splurge at Christmas. And I wouldn't have a problem spending a few hundred dollars on my significant other this one time of the year if it was something they really wanted.
Hey- this is the New York section of apartmenttherapy.
Style-y apartment dwellers in NY have money (atleast I think so and apparently so did the compiler of this list).
(Most) of us living in apartments in LA do art, minimalism and design on somewhat of a budget. But IF I was living the high life on the east coast, however, I would so buy that mug. The wastebasket and kettle caught my eye, too.
@niabassett - I don't think people bemoan spending on your significant other but not everything is created equal. That $75 mug is beautiful and I'm sure it does its job quite well - but my $10 ceramic mug also does its job quite well. It's getting the most bang for your buck, that's all. Some things are worth it, some things are not. $1,000+ for an entire bed linens set is outrageous and there most people will (and should) argue that that $1,000+ could be better spent on other things.
love the lists, could really use the budget version tho.
maybe, AT, you could put together a gift list for under $100?? I would love that
The dart board is awesome most esp for $50...
I've had the Stendig calendar in my office for the past several years. I love it and so do the people who come see me. My husband got a hankering for it, too. So I ordered one for his office. Now we work together - and share an office - and have both calendars hanging in it. They're great once you get used to the Mon-Sun deal.
@franklindean - you can get that mug for $75! :-P But like I said to @niabassett - not much bang for your buck. But it is under $100.
I got that Dyson dustbuster as a gift. It runs on battery only and it takes a 2 hour charge for 10 minutes of run time. For $200 you would think you would get a cord.
At these prices who needs someone to compile a list--I can compile my own. How about using some imagination in these times when unemployment's near 10%, and find us some things really worth giving. As for the gendered list, seems as retro as the price tags!

MicheleJM - we put together a list of gift items under $100 and really thinking we need one for under $25. We do a gift exchange with a $25 limit and am always impressed by what friends and family come up with - far more creative than a $1k limit! Here are some more budget friendly ideas:
Urban Sherp Holiday Gift Guide Under $100
I like your list Urban Sherp! These are a bit too extreme... I don't want a $10 gift, but I certainly don't want a $600 gift!
Urban Sherp list- killer!
My "domestic partner" and I agreed that our gift to each other this year was "healthy pets" -- we had literally thousands of dollars in vet bills. So we agreed that $50-$100 was the maximum we would spend on each other, mostly just to have something fun to open. (There is really nothing either one of us NEEDS.)
He's a techie and owns all the computers, peripherals, home theater equipment, blu-ray discs, etc. that he can possibly use. I am looking for novelty items that aren't too stupid, and I was thrilled to find something he always talks about "inventing" -- a license plate frame that presents messages you program in LED lights! However, I learned they are illegal in my state! (Sniffle! It would have been so funny!)
So I'm getting him a custom personalized sign with his name for his home theater. And a gadget that you mount on the garage ceiling that shines a laser light onto your car to help you park in the optimal spot every time. And maybe an iTunes gift card...
You can search with Google for "gifts for men" or whatever, and find all kinds of ideas in all price ranges. I'm afraid this list at AT is WAY out of my ballpark...
Great! Love the preserve toothbrushes. A great stocking stuffer.
Am I the only one not shocked by the prices? But who would want a waste basket at any price for Christmas, much less a vacuum.
Great list, UrbanSherp!
For the Dyson hand vaccum, I would keep an eye on Woot. I bought a refurbished one for $80 a year ago on Woot. (http://www.woot.com/) Woot may have new or refurbished items. Dyson Animals refurbished can be less than half the price of a new one. I have never had a problem with my handheld Dyson or the Animal we bought at a store. Woot also has multiple offerings usually on Tuesdays, but sometimes on other days.
