Name: Gigi (16 months)
Location: Grey Lynn, Auckland, NZ
My girl's room is really quite small so it has been a work in progress. A lot of the things in her room were purchased before she was born like the confetti system garland and wall decals . Most other details were things we had around the house, like the book case we painted a bright peach, and Gigi has inherited my old vinyl toy collection.
My inspiration comes from all over the place. Because I have a kids' design blog, I am always looking at inspiration. I like to take elements not meant for kids because they are usually a lot calmer and simplistic. I have tried to keep her room black and white with touches of peach and neon red, but it seems to be touches of pastels. I like that everything coloured in her room can be easily changed out, but the base of it all is always black and white.
Things not shown: a silver disco ball, gold and white morrocan poufs, and a cool ruler decal size chart on her wardrobe.

Such a sweet room. The darker shades contrasting with the soft pastels are such a lovely combination. Your photos are soft and dreamy. And, love that pom pom garland.
