Yesterday, online retailer Gilt Groupe debuted an original line of furniture and accessories, the Gilt Home Collection, in signature flash sale style. Targeted toward people in their 20s and early 30s, the furniture is meant to be stylish and versatile, with prices mostly under $1,000. The debut sale runs until November 21.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Well, I was going to look at Gilt's furniture offerings, but I don't support online retailers who make you give them an email address and sign up for things just to see their wares. How obnoxious.
I agree - it's a turn off. But, you can enter a jibberish email address and password to get into the site.
Oh, I know, but it's the principle of the thing for me. There's always RetailMeNot as well, but yeah, instant turn-off.
I do not expect to give personal info to view a retailer's wares. I think those who require this, or a sign-in just to "look," most likely lose sales. I'm gone....
Ugh, yeah I hate that too! It either drives me away or I give a fake email/password, so why do they think this is a good feature to have?
Why don't you all just create a junk email account? So many sites you visit these days requires an email sign up to get the most out of it.
Okay....just visited the site. Ain't all that. Took 5 seconds to enter an email and a password and right to the site. So stop complaining.
I had a quick look-see. Eh. Nothing offensive-looking, but they need to rethink the marketing unless many 20- and early-30-somethings are making 6-figures nowadays.
I was just reading earlier this week about how Gilt is struggling these days because sample sale shopping is not what it use to be. Their prices have gotten too high and aren't much of a "sale," so now that I see they are starting a furniture line, I'm already expecting it to be overpriced stuff that I could probably find elsewhere.
