The work of Anne-Marie Midy and Jorge Almada of Casamidy is an amazing blend of contemporary design with handcrafted texture and richness. All of their custom pieces are artisan-made in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and they depend on these artisans to help them realize such scrumptious interiors. What's really cool is that they individually recognize those artisans for their part in making such beauty possible:
These are the faces that all too often go unrecognized in the world of high-end interiors. We loved seeing these artisans featured so prominently with the fruits of their craft.

Ercol Bar Stool
Bravo!! Wonderful idea! (Wouldn't it be great to have the photo of the artisan attached to the back of the item every time?! I think it's easy to forget that even the "mass produced" folk art at Home Goods often is actually made by the hands of an underpaid probably Third World individual human being, not robots in a factory.)
That textile in the 4th picture is so very lovely - it is nice to get to see the artist that made it.
I agree with Catalina; that textile is wonderful! Refreshing to see a company that shows this kind of respect for their artisans. I'll happily support a business like this!
I saw that headboard in a magazine a couple of years ago! Gorgeous. And I love the photos of the artists with their wares. Good job.
The lines of the Opera chair (pic 3) are just to die for. That man is a pure genius.
AWESOME! Labor recognition is something that rarely occurs. Society buys items more from the glamorized ads of idolized celebrities and models. It's good to give credit to the folks who actually put their skilled efforts into making them.
