Glamour Galore at Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams Opening

The new Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams store is open and it is huge! Perhaps to make the store and the furniture seem even larger, all the food at the opening party last week was utterly tiny...

Tiny little delicious hamburgers and grilled cheese sandwiches standing on their side, micro-donuts staked on their edge.

If the number of shattered glasses in an evening is a measure of success, then this event was a definite winner. People enjoyed watching one another in addition to the merchandise. Lower Lafayette is forever changed.

Instead of a red carpet leading up to the entrance of the store, they had a plush green carpet which felt great under the feet. In addition, there were large round couches for a rest with a great view of the Delancey bridge.

I'm glad my invite didn't get lost in the mail, because this party was the best yet! Not only was the store packed during the party, but each time I walk by, there's tons of people shopping...these guys really know what they are doing. Glad they are finally in the neighborhood.

As a party planner, I'm at a different event every night. This one was exceptional- great food and drink, and a beautiful crowd. People lounged on MG&BW's beautiful furniture while enjoying cocktails and hors d'oeurves (the mini grilled cheese were the best!) Mr. Gold and Mr. Williams served as gracious hosts throughout the evening greeting everyone with a smile. Best of all, I spotted several pieces that I can't wait to go back to purchase. Cheers to the opening and to the success of the store!
