Escapes: Glamping

While our recent post on stylish camping may have been somewhat tongue-in-cheek, it turns out not to be so far from reality. According to a June story on Nightline, the new way to camp is to go "glamping." Glamorous camping. At Clayoquot Wilderness Resort in British Columbia, that means "Five-star food and beverage service, world-class amenities, sumptuous interiors, and super natural adventure." And "Adirondack-style beds with luxuriant down duvets. Remote-controlled propane wood stoves, antique dressers and tea tables, opulent rugs, oil lamps, heirloom china and silver accessories, and an abundance of candles." So much for musty old sleeping bags and yummy S'mores. Thanks, Keith! Image: Neal Karlinksy/ABC News
