Nicknamed "the Versailles of Industry," General Motors' Warren Technical Center was designed and built by Eero Saarinen in 1956. The automaker has pledged $1 billion to rebuild, renovate, and expand the plant and its 326-acre Michigan campus. The investment comes after decades of decline and a recent flood.
