Window coverings can be a challenge in homes where windows aren't dead center in the middle of the wall. My living room has bay windows (which I obviously love!) complicated by a molding surround, so the struggle has always been how to cover the windows beyond simple blinds. DIY fabric roller blinds look like a great alternative!
Brett over at Design*Sponge made her own roller blinds in just a few hours by hacking a purchased roller blind that she used as a base and covering it with some graphic IKEA fabric. The final look is fun, unique and functional.
For an accent window, I love the idea of using a large, bright pattern, although I'm not convinced I'd go this bold on three windows in my living room. Still, a smaller pattern would add some much need interest to that wall.
