We're knocking on the door of June and we're dying to take a break from cleaning and go have a little fun. We love spending time on the water, but nothing ruins the smell of fresh air like the gas and oil of speedy recreational vehicles. But we found one that just needs some electrical juice and it's good to go!

The Green Samba can reach speeds of 65mph (zoom!) with its twin direct drive electric propulsion pods. The only downfall is its ability to be more silent than its gas-based counterparts. Hopefully that gets worked out before its big release as unassuming swimmers won't know what hit them — literally.

Although there's been a few electric personal water crafts made previously, none of them have been flawless enough to release into the wild world of mass production for your average consumer to purchase. This craft will be hitting recreation stores near you by August, so you'll have to hold your horses for a few more months. You can check out more pictures of what's under the hood over at Gizmag.
