If the saying is true that, "God is in the details" than this church in the St. Bartholomew's Church in the Eastern Bohemian village of Chodovice/Czech Republic definitely has God present even in the chairs. In lieu of pews, they opted for an "army" of white Verner Panton chairs, with crosses punched into the backs. The design group Qubus responsible for the remodel also opted for adding Persian rugs, typically a staple of Muslim shrines and rough-cut crystal chandeliers.

(those are original frescoes a few centuries old)
They don't look comfortable though but no plastic chairs from the 50s/60s were.
What an absurd statement!
