You can buy nalgene containers at your local camping, hunting or sporting goods store. They are less expensive and there's usually a good variety.
Make sure that you purchase reusable containers that are clearly marked with their 3 oz capacity. I know people who purchased travel kits for their liquids/cosmetics/etc. and were forced to throw them away because the bottles weren't labeled by the manufacturer and the TSA wouldn't let them through.
I've had the hardest time ever finding good airline or travel bottles. But these are expensive!
I don't want to sound harsh here, but eco friendly reusables and traveling on a plane don't really go well in the same sentence ;) I like BPA free stuff, but I think you should quit airline traveling if you want to be eco friendly.
