An easy way to quickly change the look of your home is to change the lighting. A room dotted with brightly colored lamps will look significantly different than one dotted with lamps with wooden bases. But unlike pillows or a quart of two of paint, changing out three to five lamps in a room can get pricey! So we were intrigued when we came across these lamps on Good Bones Great Pieces. We love mercury glass lamps but the prices? Not so much. Here's a way to get the look for much, much less.

Classic glass lamps from a thrift store are spray painted with metallic paint to give them a shiny bright finish. Add linen shades purchase inexpensively at Target and voila!
