What was up with the Alameda Flea Market yesterday? Somehow between the predicted rain and the Super Bowl, almost no one showed up, including the majority of the vendors. Despite the Twilight Zone-ness of the morning, we managed to find this great set of Cathrineholm enamel ware - a lidded pot and matching serving bowl.
Their bright yellow color allowed us to spot them from several stalls away, and after a bit of bargaining the price was right. We can't wait to cook and serve with them - the yellow should be just the ticket to warming up our next rainy day.

Wow! Those are hot! Great find.
How much?
Wow, this is too funny. I was there yesterday and actually picked these two up for a closer look. I was running low on money so I had to turn them down. Glad they went to a happy home. Enjoy!
yep, it was a ghost town when I got there at 7:30...wish I'd seen that bowl and pan!
hey hands off! Those should be bought by a Scandinavian (like me). : )
PSsss...it's Cathrineholm, not Catherine Holm...
I saw them at around 9:30; at that time the bowl was marked $30. They are lovely!
