We've blogged before about Good Hotel in San Francisco, but after walking past it a few weeks ago, I thought it was worth a second visit. The hotel is artfully filled with sustainable, reclaimed and recycled design and furnishings throughout for a stay that's both comfortable and inspiring.
The Good Hotel is "designed with a conscience" to "inspire the good in us all." Located a few blocks south of Market Street in the SOMA district, it's conveniently located near nightlife, entertainment, attractions and public education. But what you'll find in the hotel is just as exciting: sustainable touches include blankets made from recycled soda bottles, recycled water bottle chandeliers, and water conserving toilets. Trek Globe bikes are also free to use during your stay and pets are allowed with a cleaning fee.
Guestroom amenities include recycling bins, changeable in-room artwork, a book exchange program, and various other reusable design elements. Visitors can also use the photo booth in the lobby for the visitors book, or have the concierge connect you with a volunteering program somewhere in the city. Rooms are also affordable, by San Francisco standards, ranging from $89 to $149.
