No cutesy-kiddie bathroom decor for this family and yet these kids must feel right at home knowing exactly which towel is theirs. It's a simple idea and we like it: use black and white photos of your cute kids as hook identifiers. It works for the pre-readers in your family too.
You won't see any Mickey Mouse or Rubber Duckies here and yet the bathroom has some nice kid-friendly touches. To see the whole room, visit Timber and Lace.

A warning: We did hooks in our bathroom versus towel bars for the sake of space and aesthetics, but it comes with one problem -- the hanging towels do not dry very well. Fortunately for me, my hook sits just above the floor vent so when the heat is on my towel is usually dry. The kids' and my husband's towels do not fair as lucky and they often have to use a slightly damp towel to dry off after a bath or shower. Ick!
I don't like towel hooks for this reason. But this is a cute idea to encourage children to hang up their towels. (And I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but please use reproductions of photos if you want to decorate with photographs in the bathroom. Heat and moisture are the mortal enemies of photographs.)
