Despite the longer days, summer always feels too short. Ever since the kids came along, we've had a (growing) list of fun activities and trips planned for each summer. A good and fun idea for the kids is to create a little booklet for your summer list.
We found this over at Good + Happy Day blog and think it's a great way to involve children. Have them paint some sheets of paper. Then cut out in your shape of choice. Hole punch each sheet and assemble with a ring. Hang it in the kitchen or other central location in your house and bring it out when planning the next day. You can even write little notes to memorialize the outing on the back of each sheet.

Sprout Side Table
Great idea. Usually, I just toss out suggestions verbally and see which ones the kids go for. This one looks more fun. Also could be done once a year and kept as a memento of activities we did. Would be fun in the future to look back on how we spent our days.
