Q: I'm due to give birth soon and would love to do some kind of digital/online birth announcement. I know how many paper announcements I've thrown out, and don't want to waste the paper or time in printing and mailing these announcements (happy to do printed thank-you cards for gifts, though). Can you recommend a website for online-only birth announcements? I'd also consider emailing out a high-quality jpeg announcement that people can print on their own if they'd like.

Howard Butcher Bloc...
No suggestions here, but I'm hoping to to see some! I just checked out NurseryNotice and bookmarked it. Looks like a great site, although I do wish they had some more styles to choose from! I might use it, though--there are some nice choices there.
I got both of my girls birth announcements from inababycarriage.com
I highly recommend them!!
I dont know if they do online only but you can email her and ask her (inababycarriage.com)
I really love paperlesspost.com.
Parker Leigh is my daughter's name! Weird to see it as I scrolled through...
pingg.com, they are great I use them for everything now. You can also put you own picture on, oh and they are FREE, with a pay option, and you can send out some hard copies for the grandparents you don't "do email"
I would recommend buying a JPG file on Etsy from a designer. That way you can email the file and print them inexpensively on photo paper for your non-email using friends/relatives.
I've done this for other things and have been really happy. Usually the JPG file is about $15.
I used Lullabyannouncements.com to design a jpg file that I emailed out and posted on facebook. It's $10 for the jpg, and then if you want "hard copies" for the relatives/scrapbook they are 80 cents each (which includes the announcement printed on photo paper and an envelope), with no minimum order. I was very happy with the way my announcement (jpg and hard copies) turned out, and the turnaround time was super-fast.
You should check out Midwestprep Stationery

For $10 you have unlimited use of a jpeg announcement that you can send via email- you could also print on nice paper as a keepsake since the image is high resolution. They will work with you to customize color, style etc.
hope this helps
Check out KLeighCards.blogspot.com. They are all jpg files that are emailed to you that you can then email to your friends/relatives. And they are great quality so that you can print your own at any photo place as well. The cards are $15, but you can get a custom design for like $25.
I did Wendy Bellissimo's First Announcement for email...it worked well and was the layout I liked. Hope this helps!

Paperless Post has beautiful annoucements, and invites and cards. I love how the recipient gets an envelope in their email and clicks the envelope and the card removes itself. Check it out.
Hi there! I actually just started my own shop on Etsy. My items are listed as custom digital designs. You purchase the design, send me the photo(s) and any design requests and I send you the .jpg file. Many will purchase the design to then print themselves, but I also suggest the possibility of not printing at all and just sending the .jpg as an email attachment. There are TONS of amazingly talented people who do the same thing I do on Etsy. So, check them out by searching in the "Childrens" category for "custom birth announcements" or something like that. Of course, though, I would love to have your business and work with you to announce your little one!

Coming from a stationery/custom printing background, I have to recommend Paperless Post as the best online-only option. It's what I use for parties, etc, but they also offer announcements.
boo. I love sending letters, cards, announcements in the mail - and receiving them. I know it's not environmentally the thing to do nowsadays, but if come on! It's a baby announcement! Give your friends some baby love in the mix of their otherwise boring mail.
Now I did combine my announcement with thank yous. Ordered from tinyprints.com - a flat card I could use back for writing.
Etsy is my official go-to for everything -birthdays, christmas cards and birth announcements. I love it! We used West Willow Designs http://www.etsy.com/shop/westwillow
for our son's birth announcement and people are still talking about it 5 months later!
I buy great quality envelopes from PaperSource.com and get em printed at costco. Can't beat it!
