Ariel sent us an e-mail, "Hey, Ohdeedoh! I keep hearing radio ads for something called 'Baby Loves Disco' and from what I can gather it sounds like some sort of disco for kids.
Have any of you attended one of these gatherings? I'm curious and at the same time, scared. Thanks."
Interesting question, Ariel.
Baby Loves Disco is a dance party for toddlers and preschoolers, as well as their parents. Night clubs and other venues are transformed into child-friendly places for a few hours so that parent and child can dance, socialize and party -- or is that par-tay? We're not sure.
According to the Web site, Baby Loves Disco is aimed at "...parents looking for a break from the routine playground circuit let loose for some post naptime, pre-dinner fun. Make no mistake, this is not the mickey mouse club, and barney is banned. Baby loves disco is an afternoon dance party featuring real music spun and mixed by real djs blending classic disco tunes from the 70s, & 80s..."
Currently taking place in over 21 cities including Manhattan, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia and Boston, it seems quite popular but we haven't gone.
Well readers, have any of you experienced Baby Loves Disco? What can you tell Ariel about it? Is it hot or not?
