This question is from Paulina:
I have a bunch of bamboo that has been cut and colored green just sitting outside my apartment waiting to be used. They are about 5 to 6 feet long. any ideas as what I can make out of this? Also what can I use to coat them to keep them from rotting?
What would you do with a bunch of bamboo?

we used bamboo poles for decor in the showroom of my last job. they were usually just put in a large oil jar as an accent display, but sometimes we incorporated them into plant displays. many of them were untreated (they were dried), but sometimes we varnished them.
i hung up a couple of decorative garden hangers, then set a bamboo pole in it as a cheap curtain rack. cheap easy = happy! and i love the look of bamboo!
