Good Question: Clothing Display

Reader Sanae sent us an e-mail: "Hello! I've recently started making clothes for my daughter and because I've invested so much time in them and really love them, I'd like to display them in her room once she's outgrown them.

I'm looking for stylish yet affordable vintage hangers (or vintage-looking) -- any idea on where the best places would be other than eBay and Craigslist?

Well Sanae, we featured these pretty paper-covered hangers here before and think they would be a charming way to display your daughter's dresses. My Retro Baby has some adorable vintage-style wooden hangers available in white with pink trim and in sage for $14 each.

I used a set of padded fabric covered baby-sized hangers to hang my daughter's maternal and paternal grandmothers' baby dresses on her walls. I found mine at Ross.

Also, I hung them on the wall using antique-style drawer knobs that I bought at Anthropologie.

I like the shaker style with a leather strap instead of a hook if I'm hanging things from a wall peg, like these:
