Good Question: Duvet Dilemma

Maren sent us an email: I have question about my endless search for a new duvet cover, bedspread, or blanket to act as one of those two. I am looking for somethin preferably with dark gray, light blue, white, and black - or some combo of those two. I sadly, have a twin bed due to my very small bedroom, so anything that I really like or is "luxury" only comes in Queen or King.

If I go with a duvet cover, I can do a double since my duvet is a double, but I can't find those anyplace either. I need something that is more summery than my flannel cover I currently have. I like the Montreal style of Plush Living (pictured above, left) but of course wrong size and color. I am pretty much game for anything at this point - quilts, cable-knit blankets, etc. I am just so tried of looking, finding something I love, and then finding it only comes in Queen or King (or the colors just aren't right). Anyway, would love if you know of something I just haven't come across yet. Oh yeah, and I hope to spend under $200 if possible (I mean - it is a twin!). Thanks!

For a budget friendly option we'd suggest the "Victorian" duvet cover from delia*s (pictured above right)?

It has a similar pattern to the "Montreal" set that you like, but comes in the black and white that you are looking for. A duvet cover is available in this pattern in twin or full.

It's definitely not as luxe, the thread count is a bit lower (220) but the price is right (especially if you switch linens with the seasons): $48. for the twin, $58 for the full. Sheets, pillow cases and shams are also available from delia*s.

Two high quality, more grown-up "luxury" bedding designers that offer twin and full sizes are Dwell and Variegated. Both have so many nice options in these sizes that we're just going to give you the links to their sections on Design Public (who sells them both) and let you peruse.

Readers, any other suggestions or recommendations (under $200, available in twin or double, lightweight) for Maren?
