Hi AT,
I need to find a resource in the LA area for obtaining reclaimed wood scraps. Does
anyone know of such a place?
--Ted
Hi Ted--
Great question since using reclaimed wood cuts down on what ends up in a landfill! We don't have much experience with reclaimed wood but doing a quick search we found the following resources.
• Woodweb for buying reclaimed wood online
• Reclaimed Wood Flooring for wood floors
• Reclaimed Dimensional Lumber & Beams
Has anyone in LA used reclaimed wood or know of a resource for buying some?

Try Santa Fe Salvage: santafesalvage.net. They've been posted on AT before. There is also Los 4Ms. I'm not sure if that's how it's spelled but they are at 5230 Valley Blvd. 90023, ph: 323-225-3195.
may want to check out the Green Building Resource Center in Santa Monica:

If you are still interested and seeking good lumberin bulk and scraps etc. please contact me. I know of a place in L.A. and am trying to develop the best way to utilize the lumber and myself as a service re discarded yet perfectly good lumber that's presently being thrown away. perhaps we can discuss this in confidence. please reply
