Good Question: 'Man-Up' This Emerging Bedscape?

Hi Apartment Therapy! My wife and I are in a dilemna. We are decorating our first official bedroom and cannot agree on what to do. The only thing we have agreed upon is the colour we will use on the walls...we are looking at lighter greys. My wife loves this bedding at Anthropologie (Hidden Edo Bedding) and I really like the headboard. We are planning on buying 2 black Malm dressers... Now my question is would all of this stuff go together? Also is there any possible way to 'man up' the bed covers? Or are there any similar ones that do not have the miniature flowers on them? Thanks so much! Jibin

If you're looking for a ruched duvet, Anthropologie does have another option that comes in a lovely, steel-ish gray, blue and solid cream (no flowers). You can view the gray one in Melinda's Colorful Loft House Tour and again here.

A contrasting sheet could definitely bring an element of masculinity to the room, too — pillows and sheets could all be various darker shades of grays (or blues or greens, depending on which way your paint color is leaning) to relate better to the black dressers. Our advice would be to bring in a pop of color somewhere, though — just a single color to starkly set apart from the grays and blacks.

Anyone else?
