Good Question: Where Can I Get Slip Covers For My Dining Chairs?

Dear ATLA, I have 6 Kyoto chairs from DWR around Crate & Barrel's Nova round dining table. While I love the look of the chair, I want to have the option of slip covering them to create a different look. My dilemma is that these chairs are scaled slightly smaller than standard-sized dining chairs. Do any manufacturers have anything that would work for my chairs? Or will I have to go custom? If so, will I end up paying more for the slipcovers than I did for the chair? Are there any L.A. local resources that will quote me a reasonable price?

Thank you! Enrique Hey Enrique, We'd like to go on record as saying that those chairs are great and we don't think these should get slip covered (Why make something so lovely look like Pottery Barn?) If you are getting bored with the style we'd rather a beautiful tablecloth to add a little texture. That being said, you have clearly done a lot of the grunt work, and we'd imagine that your best bet for good fitting slipcovers is getting them made. We called our go-to guy German from Chalio's (1414 Pico Blvd. LA CA 90015. 213.413.0049. 213.324.1554) When $$ is an issue, he is our man. He said that his slip covers are $60.00 plus fabric(2 1/2 yards each)which sounds like a good deal. Our tip for working with upholsterers is NEVER assume. we are exhausting and explain every subtle detail we want. We write down everything with our guy so nothing is left to question.(ie. hidden zippers, length, etc.) Good luck!
