Good Questions: Help with TV Volume

Dear Home Tech, I have a 20" HDTV that has built in speakers on the side. The problem is, these speakers are horrible! Part of the problem is the cable receiver, as right now the volume is up to 100 and it's just comfortable. Should a car drive by, or be traffic outside (which is constant), it's difficult to hear the tv. So, I'm looking for some decent speakers I could add on. Should I go the stereo route? If so, what is a good, budget stereo box and speakers? I've seen combos sold at places like Target and Wal-Mart, but I am not sure how well those will work. Any suggestions? Thanks! Waylon Hi Waylon, If you want to invest in a good stereo system, that's always an option. But if you're looking for a cheaper solution, a plug adapter like this one and a set of nice speakers should do the trick. We thought these JBL Spryos looked pretty cool. Readers, do you have experience with this or have a setup to recommend? (Thanks poodleface for the photo!)
