Q: I recently found (okay dumpster dove) a porcelain enamel table (like the one pictured here). On the whole its in great shape, except of course for the coat of red paint over everything, including the top. My plan is to refinish it, however, I'm a little nervous about what to use on the top. For most refinishing I use SoyGel, a scraper, and steelwool. But, I don't want to scratch and destroy the porcelain enamel. Does anyone out there in Apartment Therapy Land have suggestions?
